Featured Artist: Kenee Maree

Guitarist Kenee Maree is a gifted instrumentalist, performer, and composer. A former RCA recording artist, Kenee is currently working on his new soon to be released CD entitled “World Wide”, featuring a collective of wonderfully arranged tunes that will take you away and leave you breath...less. From Montreal to Tokyo Kenee has captured audiences around the world. With his combinations of lush melodies and artistic phrasing Kenee Maree has earned critical acclaim around the U.S. and Canada. Look forward to his soon to be released CD, expected out in early 2008.

Kenee Maree, a native of Mississippi, credits his early musical influences to his younger brother’s interest in the acoustic guitar. Maree soon shared this interest. A bond formed between the guitar and Maree that still endures.

Kenee attended Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi on an academic scholarship and entered the Music Ed. Department. There he met several talented young men who collectively later became known as Wynd Chymes. This group became highly acclaimed in the early eighties in Japan, Canada, as well as the States, due to two successful albums on the RCA recording label. They also toured extensively in this country and abroad throughout the eighties and early nineties.

Later, after relocating to Sacramento, California, Reno Nevada not being more than an hour or so to the east of his home Kenee became exposed to the new and exciting world of cabaret and theater entertainment in the casino circuit. This exposure also led him back to the beautiful coastal area of Biloxi, Mississippi where the casino industry had not only flourished, but reigned supreme - second only to Vegas in actual casino floor area. This is where he began honing his skills as a master tribute artist and impersonator. To this day he has more than twenty wonderfully entertaining acts under his belt; from the fifties through each decade right up to present day celebrity impersonations that will amaze as well as entertain you. He also holds the honor of being the only Little Richard impersonator to actually go on stage with Little Richard himself.
